Our Story
Gwanda Pirates Football Club was founded on 7 April 2024 with a clear vision — to build a strong, community-driven football institution that represents the pride, passion, and resilience of the people of Gwanda.
The club began its journey competing in the Matabeleland South Division Two League, where determination, discipline, and unity quickly defined the team. Through hard work and consistent performance, Gwanda Pirates FC earned promotion to the Central Region Soccer League Division One, where the club proudly competes today.
From the very beginning, the club has been powered by passionate supporters, committed individuals, and generous well-wishers who have continuously provided financial and moral support. Their belief in the vision of Gwanda Pirates has played a vital role in the club's growth and success.
Most importantly, the people of Gwanda remain the heart of the club. Match after match, the community shows unwavering support, filling the stands and standing behind the team through every challenge and victory.
